Abrasive Machining Center Waterjet Cutting System
The Abrasive Machining Center (AMC) water jet table produces complex parts out of virtually any material. It is ideal for cutting high-volume, short run, or prototype parts. The AMC is designed for operation in the abrasive water jet (abrasivejet) environment and provides ease of operation, minimal maintenance, high reliability, and increased productivity and profitability. AMC table size: 30" x 48."
The AMC is powered by Jet Edge Water Jet Intensifier Pumps.

Options and Accessories
AquaVision Di Motion Controller
The AquaVision Di is the most advanced waterjet motion controller in the industry. It features a 40GB Hard Drive with 512MB memory and two USB ports.
Z-Packages
A Z-package includes the z-axis, one or more cutting heads, and other components.
Construction
The AMC frame is a steel structure designed for rigidity and accuracy. This system, which uses brushes, labyrinth passages, lip seals, and high-volume, low-pressure filtered air to protect critical motion components, provides significantly longer service life compared to conventional bellow-type arrangements. The AMC isolates the water jet catcher tank from the motion system so the energy from the cutting stream does not disrupt the mechanics of the motion system.
Finish
High solids, polyurethane
Standard Features
- Pass through design allows system to be used as cutoff for long material
- Lip seals over motion mechanicals eliminate troublesome bellows
- Heavy duty welded steel construction for rigidity and accuracy
- 6" manual Z-axis
- +/-0.005" positioning tolerance
- +/-0.001" bi-directional repeatability tolerance
- 300 Inches Per Minute Contouring and Rapid Positioning
- PC-based waterjet controller
- SigmaNEST" CAD/CAM Software
Industry Standards
- Jet Edge waterjets are manufactured according to National Machine Tool Building Assocation (NMTBA) standards.
- Motion system tolerance capabilities are verified through dynamic analysis using a RenishawTM Ballbar system. This analysis assures customer satisfaction by delivering tight and consistent part-cutting tolerances.

The AMC machine (also called abrasive machine center) moves a water tool (typically a waterjet, or abrasivejet) through the machine's work envelope. The work envelope is defined by the x-axis and y-axis of the AMC machine. A computer-based controller provides the operator interface and a CNC application to program the water tool movement.
